Happy Monday! (That’s a bit of an oxymoron. 🙂 ) I can’t believe it’s time to begin another week. The weekend flew by. I’m already looking forward to this coming weekend because Derek’s birthday is on Friday, and we have fun plans.

Since his birthday is coming up, I asked Derek for his input on this week’s quote. I am not at all surprised by the quote he chose. It speaks to his character and his strong belief in servant leadership.

I like the quote he chose because humility can be a confusing concept. Contrary to what many people think, I think that humility is not about deflecting compliments and belittling your accomplishments. It is about focusing on the needs of others and recognizing that you are part of a much larger picture.

“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.”  – C.S. Lewis
