Happy weekend to you! I should probably start calling these posts Fun Weekend, but Fun Friday has a better ring to it. I’m late with the post. Again. Sorry! Yesterday I left work and headed straight to Wilmington to spend the weekend with Derek. (If you didn’t see my last post, he’s in Wilmington for his OBGYN rotation.) I didn’t actually get here until after 8pm, at which point we were both starving and immediately went to dinner. Needless to say, blog posting wasn’t happening at 10pm on a Friday night. Though the combination of being deliriously tired and drinking one cocktail (doesn’t take much these days) could have led to my best writing yet! 😉

Did you see the latest World Cup games? The Germany vs. Brazil game was brutal. Brazilian fan Clovis Fernandes’ face says it all.
Fernandes considers himself Brazil’s “12th man,” for good reason. The FIFA video below explains Fernandes’ history of Brazilian soccer fandom.
In a humble act of good sportsmanship, Fernandes handed over the replica of the World Cup trophy to some German fans.
What a guy.
Finally, I have absolutely loved hearing about Derek’s adventures in OBGYN. In reference to the First Moon Party video (seen in the First Moon Party {Fun Friday} post), I have been calling him “the vagician.” I personally find it hilarious, but Derek disagrees. 🙂 Joking aside, I’m very proud of him, and yesterday was a big day. Derek helped deliver a baby!! How cool is that?
